Sentimental 9ct gold signet ring remade into pendant

Bespoke jewellery is a great way to transform your piece of jewellery into a completely different piece. This also allows you to hold onto the sentimental value your jewellery may have. 

The 9ct gold signet ring below was brought in by a customer, because it held a lot of sentimental value to her she was worried that the ring may be too delicate and break. We decided on the idea to use the circular part of the ring with the engraving on to create a small pendant. Cutting apart the ring, I melted down the rest of the ring and created another circle to solder onto the back to make the pendant thicker.

This was a perfect way to use the sentimental ring whilst creating something that she was more confident to wear.
